OVER THE PAST year or so, the humble spice bag has won thousands of devotees across Ireland.
In fact, it’s gone from being merely a takeaway food to being a way of life.
And now Dublin is about to be treated to its first ever Spice Bag Party.
Last week, a group named Spice Bag Social set up shop on Facebook and announced that they would be holding “a series of events which endeavor to bring Ireland’s flourishing Spice Bag community together, in harmony”.
The first event takes place on May 7th in conjunction with Discotekken.
For the price of admission, spice bag lovers will be given a complimentary spice bag, a free drink and hours of tunes in a secret city centre location.
Early bird tickets (“Early Spice Tier 1″) have already sold out, but there are still Early Spice Tier 2 tickets (€8.99) and Late Spice Standard Tickets (€13.71) available on Eventbrite.
Oh, and the organisers wish to stress…
It goes without saying, they will be served in their natural state, i.e. in bags. This isn’t a Spice Plate Party.
Damn straight.
